What's New for the 2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe? A new Special Edition option package adds a power sunroof, leather seats, and a power driver's seat to the 2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe. Otherwise, changes to the color palette are all that's different, as Silver Beige Metallic and Brilliant Silver Metallic join the lineup. Mechanically and stylistically, the Dodge Stratus Coupe is identical to last year's model.
Advantages of the 2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe:
- Decent power from the R/T's 200-horsepower V6
Objections to the 2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe: - Weak standard four-cylinder engine
- Poor outward visibility
- Large front grille looks out of place
- Tight rear seat room
- Uncomfortable front seats
- Lacks refinement
Editor's Advice: More stylish than substantial, the 2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe seems promising until driven. This is not a comfortable car, and it's hard to see out from the driver's seat. The R/T model's V6 is powerful, and the car's suspension is up for fun, but the steering and brakes do little to entice the driver to take the long way home. Try the Honda Accord Coupe or the Toyota Camry Solara before settling on the Stratus.
