Test drive the exact car you will buy extensively - use cruise control - the issues vary widely from car to car
Detailed review:
I have owned this car since December 28, 2007, and have about 1000 miles on it. My overall impression? This is not typical Honda engineering or quality - worst Honda ever - and I have owned them since 1981. The car is 'skittish' - the suspension not absorbing bumps but hopping, the steering wheel twitching in your hands. The shifter is flimsy and 'loose' - cannot see it lasting without replacement or adjustment But the worst 'features'? VCM and grade logic transmission.
The car 'shifts' and 'surges' going into and out of VCM mode - as the WSJ reviewer said, it is 'maddening'. The grade logic transmission will downshift on steep downgrades if you are operating in cruise control - throwing you against your shoulder harness.
