GENERAL COMMENTS

"For a compact ,I was impressed, very quiet, the ride is smooth, good gas milage,I really like the look of the car.Suzuki should advertise this car more."
Ernul , North Carolina - July, 2006

"Very Happy ... Solid Purchase! My wife noted that every other car on the road was a Honda or Toyota (including our 98 CRV)and wanted something different...Enter the Reno ...We actually was looking at the Verona but the Reno won us over with its body style and extras at a great price. We have had it almost a year and the warranty could be 200,000/20 yrs because it would not matter...it is very reliable. I find it fun to drive when she lets me behind the wheel , power is what I expected from a small 4 cylinder but the mileage on our car is better than most reports I have heard. We get 28-30 on a regular basis with mixed Hwy/city driving. The doors shut with a real quality sound and the interior trim is as good as any import you will buy. We have two teenage boys who can fit in the back with no problem. Trunk storage will be my only gripe...no room for the luggage , but it is a hatch. I would recommend this car to anyone as it brings value back to the consumer...$30,000 - $40,000 for a car? Come Now ...I am glad Suzuki came along to sober up the market :) "

"I first discovered the Reno attending this year's auto show. I'd nearly forgotten about it until I began seriously shopping again. I prefer both a hatchback design and manual transmission, so I looked up the Scion xA, the VW Golf, the Ford Focus, and the Reno. After test driving all 4, I realized what a hidden treasure the Reno is. Loaded with standard features, including side airbags, the Reno offers a more sophisticated ride than the Xa, and is priced much lower than a comparably equipped Golf or Focus. It is extremely fun to drive, quite zippy around the city, smooth and quiet on the highway! The European inspired design is great."

"I noticed the Reno when doing online comparisons, and went for a test drive more out of a desire to cross it off my list than to seriously consider it. I really like the Reno, with the best balance of handling, power, sound system, and quality of materials & finish of any cars I've test-driven yet (including Focus, Scion xA, Elantra & Spectra). My first impression of the car's interior is that of an upscale sedan (it is a close cousin to the Forenza, and maybe they didn't bother to 'cheap it out' for the hatchback version?) Nice carpets, gray seats with dark patterned seating areas, very clean dash and instruments. I got behind the wheel, pulled to the edge of the parking lot, hit the gas, and WOW. It's no muscle car, but after the anemic Spectra and Elantra, its 2.0L had very nice torque off the line. The auto trans shifted very deliberately but smoothly, pretty much at the points I would shift if I were driving a manual. It leaned a little in turns, but it always felt predictable and in control. At speeds up to 80 mph, it was rock-solid (I didn't go faster than that). It has a sunroof which didn't noticeably cut into my headroom (I'm 6'-2'). My overall impression of this car is that of a very upscale car. Suzuki put enough sound deadening in the car to mute the engine noise so that it never seems louder than a refined growl inside the cabin. Much, MUCH better ride quality than the Scion xA. The Reno made me feel connected to the road. The Elantra and Spectra felt more like cats trying to cross a stream without getting their paws wet. The stereo was far superior than in the Elantra and Spectra as well. The Reno's single disc CD-Radio was more than competent. It didn't have a boomy sound at all. Haven't bought a car yet, but this is right at the top of my list!"

"Well after doing my research online and visiting several dealers, I took the plunge. Im on a limtied Budget so i bought the s model w/ automatic. Drives and handles way nicer than other cars in this catagory. I installed my own choice of custom rims, and saved a bundle. fantasy black looks awesome with the silver rims. Im 6ft3 and this car has plenty of room and everything fits nicely..Nice quality of trim too. Great stereo for an econobox, and nicely lit gauges at nite."

GENERAL LIKES

"The body style" "All the extras / Low price compared to its class" "The amount of standard features" "Smooth quiet ride, like a luxury car, but in a small package" "The back end of the car looks like an INfinity FX"

GENERAL DISLIKES

"Does not have keyless entry." "Trunk space" "It should get better gas mileage" "Fuel economy is only 22/30. If Suzuki can get another 3-5 mpg out of this engine, they have a legitimate Civic/Corolla killer!" "The air conditioner takes FOREVER to cool this car down,, very weak"
