"I purchased a 2007 SRX with a V8 engine. The car is wonderful if you are driving on a flat straight road, however if driving uphill,even the slightest incline, the transmission is too high geared and the vehicle will lose speed and continously shift. In a twenty mile mountain drive the engine shifted a total of 42 times. I tried the same drive in the 's' mode and the engine shifted 33 times. The back up warning is useless. You are required to take your eyes off away from the mirrors or back window and look up to see if one, two or three lights about the back window are lit in order to determine if there is something you are not seeing, a audio warning does not come on until you are 12 inches away from an objet and the warning does not work at all unless your back up speed is between 3 and 5 mph. Overall I am very disappointed in the performance of the V8 engine, I have found the features to be very difficult to use and am constantly consulting the Owner's manual. The car is NOT worth the money paid for it, a big let down for all the hype the sales people had to say about it."
