Just when you thought it was safe to buy that 2004 3 Series, here comes another – a significant 2006 refresh to the German automaker’s bread and butter car that reportedly includes evolutionary styling changes, more interior space and a power boost.

The secret’s out, thanks to a wayward brochure of the next 3 Series – and we now know what BMW has planned for one of America’s favorite entry luxury sedans. Two of the photos, shown here, illustrate how BMW plans to evolve their current vehicle design – especially the controversial rear tail. Note the more subtle touch to the rear tail of the vehicle. The ’06 3 Series also carries with it changes to the headlights and what looks like a larger kidney grille.
